Stickers

Patchy coverage.

Stickers are printed labels with a self-adhesive backing. They are widely used as a means of conveying information. Most stickers are rectangular but other shapes can be achieved by kiss-cutting.

A gloss or matt vinyl, coloured or clear,
A hardy print that won't disappear,
A crack on the back, it's not a big deal,
A sticky dilemma, to bond or to peel?

A Guide to Stickers

Most of the stickers supplied by Stamford Engraving are screen printed on self-adhesive vinyl or aluminium foil. Removable labels for windows are printed on self-cling material.

The vinyl is a 100-micron gloss or matt film available in white, transparent and a range of colours. It is resistant to water, humidity, oils and solvents. The standard vinyl has a permanent adhesive, but a non-permanent version is available if required.

The foil is a 50-micron matt aluminium with a metallic appearance. It has excellent heat resistance and adhesion values. It is resistant to water (including sea water), humidity, oils and solvents. It is commonly used for machine nameplates and reference labels.
