Trophy Engraving

To do the honours.

Trophy engraving is the addition of a winner's name to a trophy. The details are sometimes engraved directly on the trophy and sometimes on a plaque adhered to the base. The surface to be engraved can be flat or curved.

Cups and shields for the best in their fields,
A championship sealed, the winners revealed.
A moment of glory, a mark of esteem,
For top individuals and unbeaten teams.

A Guide to Trophy Engraving

Stamford Engraving can add a winner's details to most types of trophy, including cups, shields and salvers. The details can usually be added to any flat or curved surface made from plastic or metal.

Cups usually have a square or circular plinth for engraving the winners' names. The plinths are often made from a black plastic material, which can be filled with white wax after engraving. Some plinths are covered with a silver plated band or individual plaques. These are scratch-engraved using a diamond cutter.

Shields are wooden trophies with small metal record shields for each winner. The winners' details are scratch-engraved with a diamond cutter. New record shields can be supplied if necessary.
